Bill Wooten KC9ACL announces that a class to prepare for the Technician Class Amateur Radio license will be offered beginning September 5th at Sherwood Oaks Christian Church in Bloomington.
The class will meet each Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. beginning September 5th and finishing December 12th.
The Technician Class exam will be offered at the end of the sessions (there is a $14 fee for testing).
The book being used is the Ham Radio License Manual ($24.95 plus shipping and handling). We need to know number of participants as soon as possible in order to get textbooks ordered so please E-mail woottonwfiii@yahoo.com if you would like to attend.
The class is open to anyone interested and is an excellent opportunity to prepare for the Amateur Radio exam. If Morse code has stopped you in the past, here’s some good news; the FCC has dropped ALL Morse code requirements.
The Amateur Radio community here loves to bring new operators on board and there are more ways that ever to enjoy your new Amateur Radio privileges.

The introductory meeting is Sunday February 11th at 2pm at the Madison County EOC. 
Classes begin on Sunday February 18th and will last 6 weeks. We will be using the 
ARRL General Class Study Manual. The classes will be at the Madison County EOC
 located north of Anderson at 727 West 600 North, approximately 1/2 mile west of St. Rd 9.

On February 17 our club " Michiana Amateur Radio Club, Inc."
W9AB located in South Bend, IN., is once again going to hold
a ONLY ONE DAY event for anyone who is interested in
obtaining their technician class license. Anyone who can devote a
full Saturday to this event has almost a 90% chance of success. I
would like to ask you to spread the word at your club events
and on your local repeaters. This is our way of trying to promote
amateur radio and its good will to our communities. A person
can study all day under our guidence and we will provide VE
examiners at the end of the day so they can take the exam
before leaving and it is still all fresh in mind. For more info go to

whats of this method of teaching and passing the test along with
