October 8, 2000 Louise Sellers KA9ZEE, Secretary IRCC Noblesville, IN Scheduled 1-4 PM The Oct. 8, 2000 meeting of the Indiana Radio Club Council was held at the Police Headquarters Bldg. at 135 S. 9th St. Noblesville, IN. HCARES was the host club with Eric Eilers K9ZX, President. Thank you. A sign in sheet was passed with 24 guests present. A period of discussion, introductions, and a presentation of the web page by Chuck Crist W9IH preceded the meeting. The meeting was called to order at 1:55 by Chair, Sandy Parker KA9RNY. Thank you to our host club. The purpose of the organization and its activities were explained by KA9RNY. There are many new representatives here today. The Amateur of the Year award, committee, the notification and presentation processes were discussed. How do we make the most of peer recognition? Break for dues paying and filling out applications. Hosts copied forms
for IRCC and ballots. Thank you. Election of officers. Ballots made up.

Old business- No report on Bison Stampede. Kurt Cripe and no one from Whitley Co. are here. No other report. A bill for $6.60 for mailing was presented by KA9ZEE. Approved. Paid by treasurer. Election of officers- nominations from the floor taken. List as nominated;
New slate of officers:
All new officers should get copies of the IRCC constitution and by-laws. New business Discussion of Constitution. To be continued with new officers. Motion-Establish a constitutional committee for revising existing constitution. Seconded by C. Crist W9IH, Carried. There will be an informal meeting of the IRCC at the Fort Wayne hamfest in Nov. A motion by C. Crist W9IH ; List the names of nominees for Amateur of the Year award on the web site so they may be recognized. This would give prior recognition and make sure they can be there. Seconded by V. Rudicel KB9OME. Much discussion. Motion carried. Names of runner-ups may be resubmitted next year and clubs should make every effort to submit names of their winners for consideration by the committee. Good of the order - J. Sellers K9ZBM Section Emergency Coordinator, reminded us there are several nets on the air. Need to participate to improve skills. The daily section nets ITN, QIN, and ICN, and the forthcoming S.E.T. Next formal meeting will be April 1,2001. Where and when - to be announced.
