| Minutes of Fall 2007 IRCC Meeting October 20, 2007 W8ISH called the meeting to order at 2:10pm Introductions Moment of silence Officer’s Reports Chair - W8ISH Members selected for AOY committee. K9ZBM, KC9GCH, W8ISH. Vice Chair – W8EEU 2007 Indiana Tech Excellence award winner - K9HX. 2007 AOY presentation at Ft. Wayne Hamfest, 11:30 AM on 11/17/07 in White Room. Selection after meeting today. Secretary - WA0JTL The minutes from the 04/14/07 meeting were approved . 7 clubs represented today. 43 IRCC clubs total. Treasurer – (K9DUR) The Treasurer’s report was approved as written. Copy on file. Current balance is $2106.44 Committee Reports Bison Stampede WVARA volunteered again to host event. If a station works the Bison Stampede station during the INQP, an extra 50 points will be awarded with proof of logs. W9KT suggested more advertising to increase activity. Visit the Hoosier DXer’s website www.hdxcc.org then click on INQP, then Activities for more info on the Bison Stampede. Amateur Of The Year Award 2006 – k9dur 2007 AOY presentation at Ft. Wayne Hamfest, 11:30 AM on 11/17/07 in White Room. Selection after meeting today. 2007 Tech Excellence Award Committee 2007 Indiana Tech Excellence award winner - K9HX Old Business IRCC Non-Profit Status No new activity. New Business N9KT inquired about the IRCC email database as a means to inquire statewide about PRB and minimum antenna height regulations. General discussion followed about methods of communication. Suggestions that no one method is superior nor sufficient to contact hams statewide and that all methods available should be utilized. N9KT also stated that Department of Homeland Security now has a higher appreciation of Ham Radio in emergency responses. May be a good time to address statewide Ham Radio issues. Announcements K9ZBM announced that W9GIG, K9ZBM and W9AL will be manning the ARRL booth at the Ft. Wayne hamfest.
