Bison Stampede K9DUR
Will be operating with the call W9KT from 12p 12a EDT on May 5th.
This coincides with the INQP, the New England QP, and other contests.
If a station works the Bison Stampede station during the INQP, an extra 50 points will be
awarded with proof of logs.
Ray asked that clubs solicit participation in the Stampede and INQP. The goal is to get
activity from all 92 counties.
Visit the Hoosier DXers website www.hdxcc.org
then click on INQP, then Activities for more info on the Bison Stampede.
Amateur Of The Year Award 2006 k9dur
K9HX was the winner @ Ft Wayne Hamfest last November.
The deadline for 2007 is in the September / October timeframe.
For the 2007 nominations, Ray asked that clubs publicize the awards.
Nomination applications should contain enough information about the nominee to paint a
complete picture of their contributions to the hobby. Many past applications were lacking
a sufficient quantity of information about the person to convince judges why they should
be chosen.
2007 Tech Excellence Award Committee
K9ZX, K9RU, & WD9EYB offered to serve on the committee.
W9EEU will chair the committee.
Membership & Activities committee
Currently 20 clubs have paid for 2007
Discussion whether colleges were granted memberships dues-free.
Given the number of paying clubs, the Treasury tends to break even on expenses for the
year.
IRCC Non-Profit Status K9DUR (same notes as last meeting)
New Business

Discussion whether to make the meeting also regional, i.e. West Central Indiana, Southern
Indiana, etc.
A motion passed to create a committee to begin organizing another event, most likely in
Spring of 2008. Committee headed by Jack W8ISH; assisted by Jim K9RU, Ray K9DUR, Pam
KC9JMA, and Linda KC9GCH.
