The Fall Meeting was held at the Indianapolis Training Center, 2820 N.
Meridian Street, Indianapolis, Indiana.
The meeting was called to order at 2:00 PM by Chair Vicki Rudicel (KB9OME).
A sign in sheet was passed and self-introductions followed.
Roll Call:
A roll call was conducted via member list by the Secretary, WA0JTL using the current
member information on file. Corrections and additions to the member list was requested. 14
clubs were represented at the meeting.
Moment of Silence :
A moment of silence was observed for Silent Keys and U.S. Troops overseas.
Approval of Minutes :
The minutes from the October 2, 2004 on hardcopy was presented for approval. The minutes
were accepted as written.
Officers Reports:
Chair KB9OME
Vice Chair W8ISH;
The 2005 Technical Excellence Award was presented to Mike Koss - W9SU July 9th
at the Indianapolis. This year the call for nominations started earlier.
Secretary WA0JTL;
The secretary requested updates on club information via application forms. Meeting minutes
approval.
Treasurer K9DUR;
K9DUR reviewed financials. Copy on file.
Balance of $2070.08. Report on file for review. Income exceeded outflow for past 12
months. 20 clubs paid 2005 dues.
Committee Reports
Bison Stampede
K9DUR reported that 470 contacts were made in a "field day" like operation. 100
certificates were sent and positive feedback received. W9EEU volunteered WVARA to repeat
sponsorship in 2006 Bison Stampede.
Awards
W8IS started that 6 nominations from across the state were received for the 2005 AOY
Award. A call was made for AOY Award Committee: K9RU, KE9YA and WA0JTL were selected. The
committee will meet and make a 2005 AOY selection after this meeting. AOY award to be
presented Saturday, November 19th at the Ft. Wayne Hamfest.
Membership
K9DUR reported that 20 clubs had paid 2005 dues to date.
W8ISH and KB9OME suggested all "talk up" the IRCC at every possible opportunity
and to visit club meetings.
Old Business:
Audit Committee
Volunteers for 2005 Audit Committee are K9RTT, W9EEU, W8ISH. January 21, 2006 was selected
as the Audit date.
Non-Profit Status
KB9OME has received information that IRCC should apply for a 501-C7. Online forms
available. K9DUR stated he thought a 501-C7 status does not allow deductible donations
like a 501-C3. 501-C7 does allow IRCC not to pay taxes. K9DUR will research fees for the
501-C7 and the 501-C3.
KB0OME stated that the IRCC Incorporation is complete..
New Business
Election of Directors
Three Director terms expire in 2005. N9KT, W9MKA, K9HYH and K9ZX were nominated. (K9ZX
nomination pre-approved by K9ZX). Vote by ballot resulted K9KT, K9ZX and W9MKA being
elected for the 4 year, 2006-2009 terms.
