Minutes of Spring 2006 IRCC Meeting

Scheduled 2-4 PM
Russ Simpson WA0JTL, Secretary IRCC The Spring Meeting was held
at the WISH TV Studios, 1950 N. Meridian Street, Indianapolis, Indiana.
The meeting was called to order at 2:00 PM by Chair Vicki Rudicel (KB9OME).
A sign in sheet was passed and self-introductions followed.
Roll Call:
The Secretary, WA0JTL using the current member information on file, conducted a roll call
via member list. Corrections and additions to the member list was requested. 15 clubs were
represented at the meeting.
Moment of Silence :
A moment of silence was observed for Silent Keys and U.S. Troops overseas.
Approval of Minutes :
The minutes from the October 1, 2005 on hard copy was presented for approval. The minutes
were accepted as written.
Officer’s Reports:
Chair KB9OME
Vice Chair W8ISH;
The 2006 Technical Excellence process started. Call for four volunteers for award
committee. Question of individual nominations versus a club nomination was decided no
limitations on nominations.
Secretary WA0JTL;
The secretary requested updates on club information via application forms.
Meeting minutes approval.
Treasurer K9DUR;
The financial report was reviewed. Copy on file.
Balance of $2055.51. Report on file for review.
Committee Reports
Constitution Committee
Constitution all in order.
Bison Stampede
2006 site of operation selected. Scheduled to occur first weekend in May on Saturday, the
same time as the ON QSO Party. Special points will be awarded in the IN QSO Party for
contacting Bison Stampede station.
Membership
W8ISH and KB9OME suggested all "talk up" the IRCC at every possible opportunity
and to visit club meetings.
Old Business:
Audit Committee
Audit Committee consisting of K9DUR, W8ISH, KC9GCH AND K9RRT, met in January 2006 and
successfully completed the IRCC accounts audit.
Non-Profit Status
No additional information available.
New Business
Call for Nomination of Election of Officers
All four Officers terms expire in 2006.
Call for nominations. KB9OME ( Chair) and W9ISH ( V. Chair) declined nominations.
Fall Meeting Location and Date
K9ZBM moved that the Fall meeting occur weekend after S.E.T. Motion passed by unanimous
voice vote.
Motion passed to hold the meeting again at the Indianapolis Training
Center.

Announcements
Peru Hamfest scheduled for Sunday, April 2, 2006.
ARRL story of $500K grant for EM equipment noted. Other national stories of DHS dollars to
amateur groups noted.
