Our 2004 IRCC Technical Excellence winner is Chuck Crist W9IH.

Chuck is no stranger to innovation. During his long amateur radio career he has developed and built many home brew devices for amateur radio use. More recently he has built digital mode interfaces for friends and club members while promoting the latest computer based mode of amateur radio, called EchoLink.

He recently spearheaded an effort to upgrade and streamline the Indiana state RACES organization and emergency operations equipment. Our technical excellence winner not only builds home brew gadgets but through his local club, promotes participation in other aspects of amateur radio.

The IRCC is proud to award Chuck Crist W9IH the 2004 Technical Excellence winner.
